Entertaining the Evacuees
Well, I'm not sure who entertained who...but reports of Hurricane Ike brought Greg's parents, our sister-in-law and nephews into town for a few days. It was a very fun visit that we obviously hadn't anticipated but fun nonetheless! We definitely made the most of every day. Greg's parents would come over each afternoon (they were staying with Becky's sister in Rowlett) and brought food they evacuated with them! Becky even shared some of her coveted corn to make cream corn for us...it was amazing, as always!!! We played baseball, did magic tricks, wrestled, made chocolate chip cookie bars, went to the Arboretum, then Aunt Jennifer took Grady with Connor and Luke to the Children's Museum at the Museum of Nature and Science while I took Rebecca Jane home for a nap! Will was definitely sad to miss out on that one (while he was at school) but hopefully we'll be able to make that happen again, under different circumstances!

Snuggling with Bubba before bedtime:
One night at bathtime, RJ heard the bath water running and made a bee-line for the bathroom. Before I could get there she had helped herself into the tub...completely clothed, including her shoes of course!!! This is the guilty look I got as her diaper was getting fully saturated:
Then this is the response I got after I took her shoes off:
The girl is out. of. control. about. shoes!!! This screaming fit continued for a GOOD 20 minutes. Becky and I were absolutely beside ourselves laughing.
