Every two weeks, Will's school has Mustang Round-up in the cafeteria. It is an all-school pep rally that parents are invited to attend. I absolutely love it! I think Grady, RJ and I have made it to all but one. They go through their normal morning routine...pledge of allegiance, Texas pledge (who knew there even was one?!?!), moment of silence, and announcements. Then they honor different a few children in each grade, one special class and a few special teachers. It fosters a sense of community and is just very sweet. The cafeteria is loaded with energy and it is such a fun way to start the day (often Grady and RJ are still in their pj's!). Once class does a cheer and this week it was the Kindergartners turn! It was all three classes of Kidnergartners up on stage and they were very cute...and did a great job too!
