Greg decided to take Will for his first official experience with Aggie Football!!! They headed out after lunch for a night game in Aggieland! I'm not sure who was more excited...Daddy or Will! He called after they'd been in the car for about 2.5 hours...I figured they were getting close. Greg said they still had a little over an hour...apparently Will had been drinking Sprite with Daddy and had to make a few pit stops on the side of the side of the highway. Greg also said they he had been working on the art of eating sunflower seeds...I think he said it took him 30 minutes to make it through 5 seeds! :-) They got to their seats just in time for kickoff and made it through halftime and seeing the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band!!! Apparently, Will was just MESMERIZED the majority of the time they were there. Full of questions (like he is about the rest of life) and all in all just did awesome! My favorite story of the adventure was when the Aggies made a bad play (something that happens WAY too frequently to keep Daddy from being frustrated) and Greg sighed rather loudly. Will then asked Greg why he made that sound so he told him it was because the Aggies made a bad play. Then Will asked "Why did the Aggies make such a bad play?" in his sweet, loud voice that carries quite a bit. And a man a couple rows in front turned around and said to Will "I don't know, son, we've all been asking ourselves that very same quesiton!" Apparently everyone within earshot just started dying laughing. The drive home was unbelievable...I didn't know how it would go. Will is the child who NEVER sleeps in the car...he hasn't since he was about 1 1/2! We get him up at 5 am to get him in the car to travel somewhere early and think he'll sleep another few hours in the car? He is up and at 'em the whole way to wherever we're going. Last summer on our way home from Colorado...he stayed up until midnight, sleeping the last hour of our 16 hour drive! Coming home from Aggieland with Daddy??? He listens to a handful of songs then Daddy told him it was time to turn it off the music and go to sleep...and that's exactly what he did. Amazing. Gig 'Em!
