Well, Miss Rebecca Jane's 2 month visit was today and she passed with flying colors! Her pediatrician said "her physical exam was just perfect". No matter how many times I hear that, for any of the children, it always makes my heart skip a beat and a wave of peace just washes over me. We are so very blessed! I just love that he takes the time to say that because it is so wonderful to hear. He was pleased with her growth, was so encouraging and supportive of her exclusively nursing and seemed surprised at her sleeping 10 hours at night (my saving grace right now!). Greg and I have been thinking she was looking longer and I made the comment just last week that I thought she was going to be like Will...growing out of her clothes lengthwise before she truly filled them out. It turns out she is! She's grown 3" since her 2 week check up which means a total of 5" since birth! Now I never REALLY believe the length measurements are 100% accurate but nevertheless...she's a long little baby! Her official stats are:
11 lb 5.5 oz (70%)
24" (96%)
head circumference 38.5 cm (50%)
My grandfather, Poppa, always used to refer to Greg as a long tall drink of water...I think his little girl is taking after him! (for now at least) So does this mean I'm going to be the shrimp of the family?!?! Probably a little too early to say, I guess!
Ouch...if you look closely you can see evidence of her 4 shots! By the way, her big brothers were VERY proud of her band aids and wanted to know exactly how long she cried after getting them!
