Texoma fun!

We headed to Texoma for a Labor Day weekend of fun in the sun with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Helen, their boys and Helen's good friend Jean. It was a great weekend! We spent Saturday on the islands playing in the sand. The kids had SO MUCH fun...I don't think we had to solve any problems the whole time we were out there. Pretty amazing for 5 children ages 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1!!! They had a ball playing in the sand and the water, building a sand castle, burying each other in the sand, fishing with a net Ry had that he or Greg cast out and you see how many fish were brought in. The net was super cool and the older boys got so excited when they brought in the fish...and of course then got to throw them back in after showing everyone!!! RJ fell asleep in Daddy's arms which made them both happy and kept our camera snapping and then sweet Gavin fell asleep in his birthday suit under the canopy!!!
RJ loves for water to be poured on her head...go figure!

Burying each other in the sand:
Drifting off to sleep, safe in the arms of Daddy...
Sweet angel...nothing is more peaceful than watching you sleep:
Will watching Uncle Ryan casting the net:

Greg's turn...as you can see all the boys anywhere close to us came to join in the fun:Showing off their "catch":
Sweet Xander even wanted Rebecca Jane to see his fish:
RJ feeding Daddy her sand-covered PB &J:
Grady warming up the lake a bit:

Naptime for G-man...
...in all his glory:
Grady perfecting his drip-castle technique:
Once we were back up at the lakehouse, we pulled out the slip n slide for more fun in birthday suits...a perfect way to get rid of all the sand by the way! The day was completed with burgers and s'mores. What a day what a day!
It is so truly priceless to watch these kiddos grow up together and enjoy adventures together with their cousins!
Apparently when you're a 3rd child, Mommy finds it perfectly accetable to cut food into bite size pieces with a butcher knife:
Sunday morning included a ski run for our 5 while Ry and his crew headed back home. Will did great, managing to get up behind the boat a couple times for short distances. Grady then got up the courage to try it which was major...he had never voiced interest in the handful of opportunities this summer. He tried to talk his way out of it halfway out to Daddy but was convinced otherwise and was quite proud of himself afterwards! He had several good tries and had fun doing it which was all we cared about. Will then tried his hand at wakeboarding...another first! It was the first time it had been just the 5 of us on the boat while trying to ski. We have found it works best for Greg to be in the water with the skier which meant I was driving and managing the other 2 kids. Not exactly a relaxing boating experience but fun nonetheless and it will only get easier!!! Sweet RJ fell asleep in her life jacket sitting on my lap by the end of the skiing fun.Greg and I have just had so much fun experiencing the excitement of waterskiing "catch" with the boys!
Goodbye Lake Texoma...can't wait to spend more time in the sun, sand and fun in Summer 2009!

OK, so you were driving the boat, watching Grady, holding RJ, and TOOK A PICTURE of Will skiing? You are truly amazing!
